Lace-up espadrilles — espardenyes de betes in Catalan — are the traditional footwear of Catalonia: worn for the Sant Joan midsummer festival, sardana dancing, castellers (human towers) and village festivals.
Each pair is hand-stitched, one by one, in a family workshop in the Vallès region near Barcelona, with over forty years of craft behind it.
Braided natural esparto and jute sole, 100% cotton canvas upper, and 90 cm ribbons that tie around the ankle. Lightweight, breathable summer footwear made for warm weather and Mediterranean celebrations.
Details: natural jute and esparto sole, white cotton upper with black or red laces, EU sizes 35-46 (unisex), handmade in Catalonia, Spain.
Care: avoid getting them wet; if they get dirty, brush them dry and let them air in the shade.
Perfect for summer festivals, beach evenings and everyday warm-weather wear — a genuine piece of Catalan craftsmanship.
