Prohibited & restricted products and content policy
What can be sold on CanGerard and under what conditions, and how illegal content is reported and removed.

1. Principles
Only lawful, safe products and content compliant with applicable law may be offered. The seller is responsible for everything they publish. CanGerard may remove content and take measures when this policy is breached.
2. Absolutely prohibited products
The sale of the following is prohibited: tobacco and vaping products; drugs and narcotics, cannabis seeds and paraphernalia; ingestible CBD and cannabinoids; medicines and medical devices; weapons of any kind (except the cutlery in section 3); explosives and fireworks; live animals and protected species (CITES); products recalled or under a safety alert; counterfeits and IP infringements; stolen goods, official documents and third-party personal data; restricted hazardous chemicals; illicit or circumvention devices; explicit sexual content; financial services, crypto-assets, loans, gambling and betting; and any illegal product or content (hate, violence, terrorism).
3. Restricted products (allowed with conditions)
Some products are only allowed with conditions: alcoholic drinks (sale to over-18s only, «18+» category and age verification); packaged food (verified RGSEAA and Reg. 1169/2011 information before purchase); fresh food (cold chain, excluded from withdrawal); food supplements and cosmetics (AESAN/CPNP notifications); toys and electronics (CE marking, WEEE and free 1:1 take-back); books (fixed price, 5% maximum discount); second-hand goods (clear condition and minimum 1-year warranty); kitchen/professional cutlery (over-18s only); ebooks (express consent to immediate download and loss of withdrawal); and dated experiences (excluded from withdrawal).
4. Prohibited content in listings, profiles and reviews
It is not allowed to publish illegal, defamatory or discriminatory content; third-party personal data without legitimacy; hidden advertising, spam or contact details to bypass the platform; search manipulation with misleading keywords or others' trademarks; fake or incentivised reviews; malware; third-party works without authorisation; or seals and certifications (organic, PDO, «Fet a Catalunya»…) that do not apply to the product.
5. Notice and action (DSA art. 16)
Anyone can report allegedly illegal content via the «Report» link on every listing and profile, without signing in. We acknowledge receipt, handle reports diligently and communicate a reasoned decision with redress routes. Authority orders on dangerous products are handled within 2 business days and product-safety notices within 3 business days.
