Organic White Wine "Fer Foc Nou" - Grenache Blanc

Micro-production of just 110 bottles.

• Varieties 🍇: Grenache Blanc
• Farming: Organic, minimal intervention.
• Winemaking: Minimal intervention. Crushed, separating grape from stem, spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts and skin contact. Gentle pressing and 8 months of ageing in a stainless steel tank. <10mg/l sulphites.
• Vineyard: Estate-owned, young vines in La Figuera. Clay soils.
• Harvest: Last week of August 2023. Hand-picked, in crates of no more than 20 kg.
• Bottling: At our Winery in La Figuera, with natural Catalan cork.
• Alcohol content: 10.50% vol.
• We are not part of any D.O. (Denomination of Origin). We belong to the independent collective Vinyataires Lliures.

What does our wine's name mean? "Fer Foc Nou" ("making new fire") — doing things right, undoing the old habit of not making white wines in La Figuera, or making them with skin contact as they used to at the very beginning. The first time we've made a skin-contact white wine in territory known for reds.
